I love changing Eloise’s book self each season. We just put our Halloween books away and I starting to bring out her Thanksgiving books. I have a few from last year, but was a little disappointed when we went shopping this weekend and all the books in the children’s section were Christmas. I love Christmas, but I am not one for skipping over a holiday.
Pumpkin Pie // How to Catch a Turkey // There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Turkey // Bear Says Thanks // Fry Bread // The Very First Americans // Pookie’s Thanksgiving // The Leaf Thief
Eloise loves reading, we keep a bin of books our for her that we rotate through. She has started to grab a book and sit in our lap and it is the *cutest*. She point to the pictures and really likes when Justin or I make the different animal noises.
Every night before bed we read a book, I try to keep it seasonal (hence her rotating book shelf each season). We have done this since she was a newborn, I even brought books to the NICU to read to her. It was important to us that we made this a routine. 18 months later we still keep to it. She was always a great sleeper and I attribute that to her our “bath, bottle, book, and bed” regime.
I hope your enjoy this round up of Thanksgiving Books our two favorites from last year are “Fry Bread” and “Bear Says Thanks”. Share below your favorite books for your kids or even your classroom! We are always visiting the library for more!
